According to the Guangdong Provincial Tourism Bureau, the plan for the Pan-Pearl River Delta parades, one of the highlights of the 2007 Guangdong International Tourism Culture Festival, has been confirmed. During the 23rd to the 25th of this month, 36 floats from the Pan-Pearl River Delta, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, Hami of Xinjiang province, New South Wales of Australia, and Kyushu of Japan are to run on the main roads of Guangzhou.
All floats will be completed decoration before November 20th and gather at Nanhua Road of the Tianhe Sports Center. The event consists of two parts: floats debut at the Cultural Festival opening ceremony on November 23 and parades in Guangzhou city on Nov. 24th and 25th (10:30 and 20:00, Saturday and Sunday), and on Nov. 26th (20:00, Monday). Altogether there are five parades, two during daytime and three at night.
Specific parade route is as follows: East Gate of Tianhe Sports Center ¨C Tiyudong Road - Tianhe Road - Tianhe Overpass - Huanshi Road - Dabei Overpass - Huanshi Road - Tianhe overpass - Tianhe Road - Tiyudong Road - East Gate of Tianhe Sports Center.
From November 23rd to 27th, all floats will be parked at Nanhuan Road of the Tianhe Sports Center except at the parade time.
