The Overseas Exchange Association of Guangdong Province is a non-profit,non-government organization voluntarily set up by personages from various circles in Guangdong.

With the vision of "strengthen the friendship, promote the communication, reinforce the cooperation", the association builds up a link for overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macau compatriots to improve the communication with Guangdong in the fields of commerce and trade, Science and technology, culture and education, etc. Since the establishment of the association in July 1992, it has actively brought the priority of the non-government liaison and function served as a bridge into full play, with the concern and support from all circles and the hard work from its consultants and council members home and abroad. Fruitful achievements have been reached to assist Overseas Chinese in investing, trading, setting up public welfare and charities in China, and to assist domestic enterprises and organizations in professionals recruitment, capital and technique as well as the setting up of their representative offices or agencies abroad. 

In August 2002, Mr.Tang Bingquan, Deputy Governor of Guangdong province, was selected the President of the association in its 3rd session, while Mr. Lv Weixiong, Director of the Guangdong Overseas Chinese Office was  the Deputy Vice President. By recruiting professional from all walks of life home and abroad, the network of the association has been much improved. With 118 board members, 48 group member at home and over 280 outstanding consultants and council members in over 50 countries and regions, the association is expected to play an important role in promoting the exchange and cooperations between Guangdong and the world in all fields.

The economic globalization and the improvement of China's international status has provide a good channel for the overseas Chinese in promoting exchanges and cooperations between China and the world in a full play. The association will keep up with the trend and endeavor to contribute more for the better understanding and closer relationship between Guangdong and the world.
