Muslims of All Nationalities In GZ Celebrate the "Id Al-Adha" Festival

December 20 marks the "Id al-Adha" festival for Muslims around the world, including China's ten ethnic peoples who who are believer in Islam. Groups such as the Hui, Uygur and Kazak are among those included. More than 12,000 Muslims gathered at the mosques of Guangzhou to celebrate the "Id al-Adha" Festival marking the year 1428 A.H on the Islamic Calendar.

After their ritual bath in the morning, Muslims attended religious activities held at the Huaishengguang Mosque, Haopan Mosque, Xiaodongying Mosque and Xianxian Gumu Mosque. Officials from municipal and district United Front Work Departments, the National Bureau of Religious Affairs, relevant governmental agencies and ethnic and religious groups came to the mosques to extend holiday greetings to Muslims of all nationalities in the city.
