The 12th Tour of South China Sea Cycling Competition Dongguan Stage commenced Tuesday. A Danish cyclist won the competition in a time of 2h 31'19'', followed by Ji Xitao from China mainland and Wu Bohong from Taiwan. The Dongguan Stage is the third leg of the competition after Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
Since the event started in 1996, 11 competitions have been held successfully attracting fans from Europe, Oceania and Asia every year.
The 2007 Tour of South China Sea contains 8 stages incorporating Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhongshan, Zhuhai and Macau, and lasts from 23rd to 30th of December.
The Guangzhou Stage launched at 11 am from Guangzhou University Town today.
