Humans are interested in exploring and understanding their bodies. The mysteries of the body are explored in the first educational base popularizing science at the University Town. The Body Science Educational Center was set up yesterday in the Guangdong Pharmaceutical University (GDPU).
In the human science zone of the center, bodies from Dongguan during the Neolithic period, and bodies and mortuary objects of the official family of Ming Dynasty can be observed. The samples are accompanied with a written introduction and explain the development of China's ancient society.
According to a professor of GDPU, the bodies are preserved by plasticization. Plasticized samples can remain dry and for a very long time, and have the feel of rubber. What is most fascinating is that the joints of a body from the Ming Dynasty can be activiated.

Entrance is currently free to the students of the University Town and will open formally to the public in half a year. Teachers from GDPU will be invited to be volunteer guides. Groups of students and the general public will need to make reservations one or two days before visiting.
